Deep in the wild and tangled forest that bordered the castle, there was a clearing. In itself, this clearing was nothing special; just one of many in the great forest. What made this one in particular stand out was the pool located at its center. Almost perfectly round, the pool was surrounded by stones that barely prevented the water from spilling onto the forest floor.

And those stones were the ruins of the ancient city

there were some who would risk the rumored danger of visiting him

Some were brave. Some were dumb.

Some were desperate.

Tonight, it was my desperate footsteps that made their way through the forest, disturbing the silence of the night with the sounds of branches breaking and the rustling of leaves. Desperate footsteps that came to an abrupt halt when their owner tripped into the clearing and tripped over an exposed root as soon as I managed to regain my balance just before falling into the pool and quickly took a few steps back.

When my breathing had stabilized, I returned to the edge of the pool. I lowered my hood, revealing my long silver hair and dropped my robe.

my eyes searched carefully As they moved, the moonlight glinted off the pale ring declaring to all midnight

I looked out into the water for a few long moments, until I saw him with trembling lips.

He took a moment to carefully undress and get into the pool, like an almost ethereal water being and just before disappearing he said come with me .. then he took the headband off his head and took my hand

crawling with him.
